Samsung is taking confident steps toward the future with its upcoming foldable devices. The names for the next two versions of the Galaxy Z Flip foldable phones are already secured, according to trademark documentation that has come to light.
Bringing an innovative device to market is quite a process, and Samsung knows it. The company is not wasting any time and has secured the names for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, confirming that these monikers are reserved for their future foldable phones.
Samsung’s future foldables
Although there is still over a year until the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and until 2025 for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung is taking proactive steps to protect its trademarks. This move follows the pattern of previous actions, where the company had already secured names for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 models.
The applications to register these trademarks were filed in September of this year and have been published by the competent authority in South Korea, as well as on the list of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
As for what we can expect from these future foldables, information is scarce. Since the Galaxy Z Flip 5 received a significant screen upgrade this year, attention may be focused on an improvement in the camera department for the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
