During the 2023 Major League Baseball American League Championship, fans are not only enjoying the excitement of the game, but also the enhanced experience provided by Samsung at Minute Maid Park. The company has implemented intelligent LED signage that has captured the attention of fans in the stadium.
In March 2023, Samsung partnered with the Houston Astros to host a “Tech Showcase” at Minute Maid Park, showcasing the newly renovated stadium with the company’s advanced LED signage. This collaboration aims to elevate the visual experience for fans attending sporting events.
Innovative Samsung LED Displays
The stadium, opened in 2000 in Houston, Texas, underwent significant transformation last year, including the installation of a retractable roof and the capacity to accommodate 41,000 spectators. As an official partner, Samsung installed an innovative smart LED signage display to provide fans with an even more immersive viewing experience.
The renovation included upgrading the main and secondary scoreboards, as well as the ribbon board at Minute Maid Park, all equipped with Samsung LED displays. Standing out in the center of the stadium is an electronic screen approximately 6,875 square feet in size, ensuring an optimal view for fans, even from challenging angles.
