Bad news for Samsung service users in the United Kingdom, as the three-star company confirms that a hacker has gained access to different data of its British customers.
However, within the terrible news that constitutes a data breach for a company like Samsung, and especially for its users, it is noteworthy to highlight that, according to the Koreans, data related to saved passwords and financial information has not been affected.
The security breach affects the online store, so users with a Samsung account who did not make purchases on the Samsung website were not involved in the information leak
The company contacted its users to alert them. This was observed thanks to the user Michael Valentine, who shared a screenshot of the message from the Koreans on his Twitter account:

According to the statement, users who did not make any purchases between the specified dates, from July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020, were not affected by the data breach, even if they had a Samsung account. Among the data that could have been leaked are full names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.
The breach occurred in Samsung’s online store, without, as mentioned earlier, financial data being affected, according to the assurance from the Korean company. Nevertheless, this poses a serious reputational problem for Samsung and a concern for users. Samsung must have taken note and implemented appropriate measures to prevent it from happening again.
